NEW YORK (AP) Hamilton star Aaron Paul says his new show is coming soon to the U and to a U.K. theater.
The new season of “Hamilton” debuts Thursday on Broadway.
It’s a major hit in the country, but audiences around the world are waiting for the U to see it.
The cast is still waiting.
The show, based on Alexander Hamilton’s novel, debuted at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.
Paul, who plays a young lawyer, said he wants to show Americans that he was an inspiration to other people and a “genius” to his own family.
He also wants to be a part of the “Hamilton moment” when it comes to U.N. meetings.
The U.B.C. has announced it will host a UBC conference on the new season.
“I’m looking forward to being a part in this,” Paul said.
“It’s something that will help me to continue to push the boundaries of what we can do and what we’re capable of.”
Hamilton is a musical about the American Revolution that follows Alexander Hamilton, the son of the late U. S. President James Madison.
Hamilton and his wife, Anne Boleyn, were the first U. K. couple to wed.
The Broadway revival marks the latest effort to reach the U, a country that has historically been one of the most supportive of gay rights.
The United Nations last year adopted a resolution condemning same-sex marriage, but a similar resolution was rejected in the European Union.
The British government is not expected to change its position on same-gender marriage until next year.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Wednesday he has been in contact with U. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson about bringing the show to the city.
De Blasio said that Johnson and his team have made it clear that the city will welcome “Hamilton.”
“It will be a tremendous event,” he said.
The London-based company behind “Hamilton,” which premiered in June, said it is working with the UBC on the first season.
