Mr Gittesons latest film, Daddy’s Army, has now grossed over a million dollars at the Australian box office, with the Australian edition of the film set to be released in November.

“Dad is an important part of my life, and I’m happy to see it is so popular on YouTube,” Mr Gitter said.

“And that’s what really makes it so special, is that we all love Dad.”

Mr Gittle said his father had been a big part of the show.

“He was a huge influence on our lives, both in terms of his work ethic, his love of the outdoors, his work ethics, his ability to be a father, he was a great worker,” Mr Anderson said.

The dad sitcom Mr Giver’s other film, Uncle Ben’s Dad, starring Matthew McConaughey as his late uncle Ben, has also been a hit at the box office with the latest installment earning over $500,000 at the domestic box office.

The film was directed by Tom Arnold and stars Jason Statham as Ben, Jamie Bell as his younger brother, Paul, and David Morrissey as the younger brother.

“It’s the only thing that he ever really cared about, so I think it’s just the perfect family story for us,” Mr Arnold said.
