Free streaming on YouTube and other digital platforms will be available this fall.
The new streaming platform will be offered on Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, but it will also work with Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Microsoft Fire TV, Amazon Fire HDX, Amazon Kindle Fire HD, Xbox One S, Roku 3, Chromecast Ultra, and the upcoming Amazon Fire Pro.
The launch comes after Apple introduced a new streaming video service for the iPad in October, and Netflix is expected to launch a new TV service in November.
While the streaming video services are expected to compete with Hulu, YouTube, and Amazon Prime, it appears that MLB will remain the main destination for the streaming service.
The MLB TV service is set to debut later this year.
