With the BBC’s iPlayer app, you can now stream the most popular BBC iPods and other devices in your home.
The BBC iPlaylists, for example, will automatically appear in the iPlayer, giving you access to the BBC News, Current Affairs, Business, and more.
It’s also possible to find the latest news and current events on your device, with an easy to use interface.
You can also subscribe to the iPlaylist from the BBC app itself, or from the iTunes app.
To subscribe to iPlayer for BBC iPod devices, simply open the BBC App for iPads or iTones on your Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV, then choose iPlayer.
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll see the iPOD section on the BBC site, with a “Subscribe” button that will take you to the ‘Subscribe’ page.
Tap that, and you’ll be taken to the sign-up page.
You’ll then be able to sign up for iPlayer from the app itself.
To get started, simply tap the blue ‘Subscribe to iPlay List’ button on the top of the BBC home screen, and follow the prompts.
You’ll then need to sign in to the account, and add a name for the iPod device to the group.
Once done, a new ‘Subscribe iPlayer’ button will appear on the left.
Tap it, and a list of available iPlayer devices will appear.
From there, you will need to choose the iPad device you want to receive iPlayer on.
You will need a minimum of 10 iPolls to sign-in, but there’s no need to wait long.
Just click the ‘Set a password’ button, and choose your password, and then click ‘Continue’.
You should now see a new list of devices appearing on the right side of the screen, with the iPhones and the iChannels on the bottom.
From here, you need to scroll down to the right of the list and tap ‘Subscribe.’
You will be taken back to the login page, and should see a list that looks like this:You should see the ‘Add device’ link appear, then tap ‘Add’ to add the iDevice you want iPlayer to stream to your home TV.
You can also click on the ‘Watch’ icon in the top left, and select ‘Playlist’.
This will now start the playback on the device you added, and will start to play the BBC feed.
Once the video has finished playing, you should see that you can also view the iViewer app, which will show you the BBC streams and iPlayer videos on your TV.
It’s a great feature, but we’ve got a few more suggestions for iWatchlist integration that should help it to stand out.
Firstly, you might like to use a local search feature on the app, rather than the internet to find a specific episode.
We’ll be looking at how to do that in a future article.
Secondly, we’d like to see a way for iWalls to integrate with the BBC news feed.
That way, you could see the latest BBC iViewers and iPod devices at the top.
Thirdly, there’s also the suggestion to integrate the iRadio with the app so that you could easily find the iStreams and iCharts you want.
We could see that being used in the future to find news.
Lastly, we’re thinking about making it easier to share iPlayer stories.
This would be particularly useful if you want the BBC to broadcast live updates about a live event or event in your area.
The iWatchList app for BBCiPod devices is available now for free on Apple TV and Android devices.
